chronarchy, rfunk, and I all met featherynscale and triadruid for lunch at an Ethiopian restaurant.

featherynscale and triadruid were passing through Columbus on their way back home from a week-long road trip (from Kansas City to Boston and back). They are way cool people, and I enjoyed meeting them muchly. :-)

The food was good, too. I was very hungry, and now I am very not hungry, but in the best way.

I just did my first ever major friends cut. I was just finding my friends list getting a little unwieldy to keep up with. If you got cut and would like back on let me know and I'll add you back.

Friday I left work early to drive up to Canton, where I met up with rfunk, and we both headed up to Cleveland to a party given by bec76. This was the first time I have met bec76 outside of LJ-land, and I must say I was quite impressed with her poise and loveliness, not to mention her graciousness in inviting two-almost strangers into her home. It's a drizzly/rainy day, cool with just a bit of wind. It feels like autumn. It's an evening for feeling cozy in flannel pj's and listening to Iron & Wine. Both of which I am doing right now.

I'm back from my long weekend in Florida.

Best. Vacation. Ever!

Well, that may be overstating it a bit. But for a 4-day weekend, it was pretty darn great. cybrgrl and bri_o really know how to show a girl a good time. My LJ friend cybrgrl, who I have never yet met in real life, has offered to let me come for a visit to her house in Orlando, Florida. We've talked about this for a couple of years, and it's finally going to happen. I'm so psyched!

I met rfunk and nontacitare for brunch last Sunday. We figured out that it has been some 4 years or so since we last hung out. nontacitare, never one for the superficial, skipped past lots of small talk and asked me wonderful important "dangerous questions", which was great.
